About me
Hi, I’m Amanda—a psychotherapist based in Bury, Greater Manchester. If you feel stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break, I’m here to help you make sense of your experiences, build self-compassion, and create real, lasting change.
I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, self-harm, and bereavement. Many of my clients are self-aware—they know how their past has shaped them—but they’re frustrated that insight alone hasn’t shifted how they feel. That’s where our work together comes in.
As a trauma-informed, person-centred therapist, I offer a safe, compassionate space where you can explore at your own pace—no pressure, no judgment. We’ll piece together your story, uncover how your coping strategies have been protecting you, and gently challenge the beliefs that keep you stuck. Over time, you may start to feel less overwhelmed, more present, and more in control of your emotions and relationships.
Therapy with me isn’t just about deep conversations—it’s about balance. I bring warmth, humour, and gentle challenge when the moment is right, because I believe healing doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. Together, we’ll create a path forward that feels empowering and achievable.
If you’re ready to stop feeling stuck and start moving toward a more fulfilling life, I’d love to support you. Let’s do this together.
